In the Lysos area, there is a hideout and four hideouts.<\/p>\n
The hideout is located east of the mountain \u201cProfertzii\u201d, about 100 meters below the peak and overlooks the area of \u200b\u200bAgios Merkourios. From the top of the mountain, one can see almost the entire surrounding area and during the Battle, one could monitor all the enemy\u2019s movements.<\/p>\n
The first hideout was located west, at the foot of \u201cProfertzii\u201d, 500 meters above the chapel of Agioi Pantos, property of the late fighter and hieromonk Artemios. The mouth of the hideout was closed with a bush.<\/p>\n
The second hideout was located in the orchard of Spyros Raftis, inside a bush, about 300 meters from the chapel of Agios Georgios.<\/p>\n
The third hideout is located at the location \u201cKathikas\u201d, in the field of Christos Popis. This hideout was closed with a lid and was underground. The hideout was built by guerrillas and housed by the owner of the field and father of the late guerrilla fighter, Georgios Christos Popis.<\/p>\n
From this hideout, the guerrilla group set out to ambush the English occupation troops at the location \u201cLofos\u201d, which is approximately one kilometer from Lysos. The ambush took place on October 5, 1958. The following guerrillas took part in it:<\/p>\n
