The area is home to wild animals such as foxes, hares, hedgehogs and weasels. It is important to note that in the forest and near the village live the AGRINΑ, the endemic wild sheep of Cyprus.

The Nature Trail “Lysos – Stavros tis Psokas” passes through the impressive forest and offers unique hiking experiences.
In Lysos, there is a riding farm that organizes horse trails through the forest, passing by streams, clearings and picturesque chapels. These trails are aimed at both beginners and experienced riders.
Spring means colorful rebirth in the village. Rare wildflowers bloom on the edges of the trails and in the fields, such as cyclamen, anemone and rare varieties of wild iris.
